Methyl salicylate standard

Custom & Specialties

Introduction

Methyl salicylate is a raw material of a large range of esters (hexyl, benzyl, ethyl, etc..). Trans-esterification may be preferred to direct esterification from salicylic acid, because Methyl salicylate is easier to handle (liquid, easy to transfer), and reaction straight-forward. The ultra-low water content in methyl salicylate standard by Seqens will prevent reactors' corrosion of esters producers.
Methyl salicylate can also be used in detergency packages for fuel industry - additives for engines to keep the inside clean [avoiding carbon deposits, paint films or sludge] & protect them from the extreme conditions of working.
