Global Handwashing Day

This Thursday, October 15, 2020, on the occasion of Global Handwashing Day, SEQENS is dedicating a press kit to this essential hygiene gesture.

In Covid19 context, handwashing is more than ever a public health issue. A barrier gesture not much emphasized by the media these last weeks. However, the WHO recommendations must be respected more than ever in order to curb the epidemic.

Furthermore, a study by Kyoto Medical University has made hand transmission a subject of current interest. According to this study, published last week, the virus can survive for more than 9 hours on human skin.

Handwashing and the use of a gel or a hydroalcoholic solution are still more of a public health issue. Medias have a key role to play in providing information and saving lives. In fact, a recent study highlights the lack of information and the bad habits of French people.
