Introduction
ARCOT® 642 N is an overbased calcium sulfonate anticorrosion additive
recommended for metalworking fluids (as Passive Extreme Pressure additive) and for rust preventive oils. ARCOT® 642 N can be used on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
It is soluble in solvents and most of synthetic and mineral oil groups and offers
good demulsifying properties.
Synergisms can be obtained between
sulfurized additives and phosphorus-based components in metalworking formulations.
